Religion, is it worth it?

Fulani Muslims in Nigeria attacked a Christian pastor while he was still in his church; they took also his wife and daughter, and hacked all three of them with a machete, they then tied all three of them with rope and set the entire house on fire. By the time they found their bodies, they were all charred.

A young girl named Awe who was near the church when the attack took place, said:

Suddenly we heard sounds of gunshots around our village,” Awe said. “The pastor was still in the pastorate when the Muslim Fulani gunmen forced their way onto the church premises. They cut him, his wife, and a daughter with a machete, and then tied the hands and feet of the three of them before setting the house on fire. The three of them were burned to ashes in the living
room of the pastorate. We only found the charred remains of the three of them the following morning.

The funny thing about conservative, orthodox religious people - being a muslim, christian or jude, is that all of them pretty much agree on how life should be lived. They are all anti-democratic, have a spasmodic relation to nudity and sexuality, they are homophobic and believe in strict diversity between the genders. Still, they hate each others guts.

A dreadful act of barbarism. Can't imagine how I would feel if it was my family. However, history shows that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.

the simple answer is no.......if there is a god or many gods...why allow such cruelty...

No and I'd ban the lot but it'll never happen with Islam the most evil, wicked faith in the world. I'd like to make it a crime to follow Islam in this country and if any Muslim isn't happy then they should f**k off to Iraq, Afghanistan or any other Muslim country and leave us non Muslims in peace. Islam is vile, disgusting, inhuman and wants world domination.

It's not the religion that is the problem, millions of people live peacefully believing in their faith and I don't knock them. But, all religions have somewhere hidden in them; people who brainwash innocent people. It's people in power of these faiths/religions that should be shot not the religion itself. Believing in a god is not an issue. It's using the vulnerable within to carry out disgraceful acts that's the problem. So no; but all religions should take more action to the above if that makes sense. How is another story but hey ho.

All religions are horrific and are holding back the human race.

Religion divides Countries/Families and for thousands of years this has been happening, its not got any better or worse. There is no solution.
