In total shock the 'back to blue' campaign of the SWE lasted around 1 month. They know exactly how the majority feel about that badge. Is Tan FC not CCFC

Pathetic traitorous Paper. Whoever wrote that needs to have there toenails ripped out.

How can we take pride in something that has no relation to the football club we love and adore. Grew up with a Bluebird as the main subject on the chest, not a dragon. Love for my football club has sadly gone away, because it no longer feels like my football club.

When they came out in support of the blue and admitted they were wrong to support Tan I for one said "Sod the Echo we don't need their support". I hope now people can see why.

Good point, the season was over and the perfect time for SWE for it's 'B2B campaign.' The season starts and I guess they need access to the club's players & staff so perform this u-turn.

IMO this is about the players getting their arses in gear and playing for the badge is a figure of speech. Can't remember the last time I bought the Echo mind.

Lets get behind the team any how.

A transparent ploy to whip up a debate and sell their rag to more mugs. I won't read it and haven't for some time.

I reckon they are the ones who need a rebrand: The Cardiff Daily Star Echo. Who's been found on the moon this week then?? What a joke they are.

One thing is it won't gain popularity for that badge anymore that putting a pic of Margaret Thatcher will bring her back to life (luckily).

Best to concentrate on our new situation with the manager and the league battle ahead.

Cmon Bluebirds!

Genuinely now, I don't know one person that reads the Echo. That's how little everyone cares about what they write. Do not have a clue.

They couldn't give a toss about the fans. They only supported the blue to jump on the bandwagon and sell a few papers so people could get their "we'll always be blue posters." Might have been paid off by tan to do this headline. Nothing to do with city ever surprises me anymore. Its a shite paper anyway terry phillips etc talk utter shit :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

They should show some pride in their writing the twats!!!

The day before their front page was a full page advert for the countdown in buying rugby tickets!!!

But like it or not that is our badge they could have said play for the jersey but that's red and would have been wrong ??

They change their stance how it fits them, to get buyers. They're a grotty little company who think they have credibility when they don't.

They knew people would buy the Echo when they changed it to blue for the day to 'stand up to Tan' because fans like that. But the Echo, whether you're someone who endorses the rebrand or someone who despises of the rebrand, it's a shit rag

I agree. They could have said play for the jersey, but jersey or badge, both are offensive to a substantial number of Bluebirds fans.

I would say to play for the club, but even that has disenfranchised members because of the autonomous antics of the owner.

Even the Bluebird on the badge was only added as a "concession" when the rebrand took place.

Back to Blue, back to THE badge. That's the only way to get back to a unified club again.

Most of you seem to be missing the whole point of the piece and as per usual its because people are just so wrapped up in rebrand, rebrand, rebrand.

All the echo are saying is that the players need to show pride in themselves and the club that they play for.

The fact that the badge is not of the type that most of us like does not mean that the sentiment is any different.

Should they therefore show distain for the badge? No. It is just currently the crest for the club.

That said the echo could have just said have pride in your club. :)

So why not show the players, or even a silhouette of a player? They are clearly saying in the headline to play for this beer at badge

The fact that the badge is not of the type that most of us like does not mean that the sentiment is any different.
But that is the point: The crest is important (or Tan would change back easily). The badge stands for an identity, in this case conjured by a control freak!

Should they therefore show distain for the badge? No. It is just currently the crest for the club.
see above

Exactly!!

Christ almighty, the editor of this once great newspaper surely needs to keep his readers happy. What has happened to the BLUE campaign?
It just goes to show how out of touch and ignorant these modern journalists are. WTF :?
