Our interview process or lack of it

Fri Sep 26, 2014 9:12 pm

Look i have had a few rants this week on Facebook about our current managerial circus & read plenty of others on here & elsewhere giving their opinions & throwing their toy's out of the pram.
The two main opinions appear to be
How do we know Pulis wanted the job & is he really all that with his hoof ball style of play &
How do we know that Slade can't manage at this level he could be brilliant just never been given the chance.
Now i'm very much a pro Pulis man & if he didn't want the job then it would be Lennon for me but that's my opinion & we all have them that's why we love football.
But for me & this is the really important question why the fook have our last two managers been appointed without it appears a shortlist being drawn up so that Tan & his cronies could have a look who is out there & make an informed decision on who is the best man to take us forward. Interview them Tan FFS & give yourself a choice it's not rocket science man. :thumbright:

To be fair, we don't actually know whether more than one person was interviewed. All we know is that more than one was approached and from that Russell Slade selected ;)

I would have preferred someone else in an ideal world, but once he is in, he'll have my best wishes and (I hope) those of all the paying fans that turn up at the CCS in support of a club called Cardiff City FC that is bigger than any of us, including Vincent Tan and the current (but temporary) regime!

If (as expected) Russell slide is appointed in the next few hours, then it really is time to move on :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

All out of work managers with a decent CV should be interviewed. It doesn't harm the club to have friendly chats. As in life, the correct fit can be unexpected.

When Chris Hughton was interviewed, afterwards he told a good friend of mine in Media Wales that it was the most unprofessional interview he had ever had and they never knew a thing about football.
A few years ago this was, when Malky got the job.

that is everyone's worry Annis. Competent chairmen get a good vibe off a candidate and go with it, after talking about football long into the night one would imagine. This lot we have, have no football knowledge so must be a painful for the candidates to sit through!

Or in other words a load of bull from Hughton to cover up his embarrassment and stupidity of turning up to an interview with a West Ham presentation?
