If you could move back to Ninian Park tomorrow would you ?
Fri Sep 26, 2014 8:43 pm
The last few years the atmosphere at Ninian was awful, we had a new bread of demanding fans which we have brought into the new stadium. The atmosphere is about the fans not the stadium.

Easy, Ninian Park.
Fri Sep 26, 2014 8:47 pm
Easy ninian but we had to move to progress

An unfair question, as anyone over a certain age will say Ninian Park in an ideal world!
However, in the modern world Cardiff City Stadium (or whatever it soon becomes) was essential to the future of our club, so with that in mind I voted for the present set-up!

Nukes, I didn't mean it to sound like that...honest!
I meant that if we could go back in time, us wrinkles would vote for the character and atmosphere of the old Ninian Park we knew in the 70's, 80's and 90's but by the millennium it was dilapidated and worn out, so the new ground really was needed!
I quite like the new stadium and us fans have proven that the atmosphere
CAN be electric
IF we want it to be, so on those grounds I voted for the new stadium

Easily Ninian Park. Unfortunately the club had to move on with the times and a new stadium was needed. Would've been great to experience the Premier League at Ninian Park though, in blue of course.

Ninian park all day long
The little things made the difference
Crappy turnstiles where you could bribe the staff with a fiver instead of a ticket
Falling down portacabin bar behind the bob bank ( if you left your pint on a table it would bounce off with the floor bending as people walked past

) the game the side of the bar was blown off was brilliant
Dirty portaloo cubicles which nearly fell over if you leant the wrong way

I do miss the poor facilities I must admit

NINIAN PARK, THE REAL HOME OF CARDIFF CITY
Fri Sep 26, 2014 10:03 pm
Ninian Park before the seats were put in, when we had real players, real supporters and a real atmosphere. May not have had any money, but Saturday afternoons were something to look forward to.

Yesterday...all my troubles seemed so far away.
CCS for me......simply because it's now.

If the question was: if you could only watch ONE more city game, where would it be? The answer would definitely be Np.
But as for a permanent move; we had to move forward as a club and it was either get a new stadium or completely change Np...I'd rather be in a new stadium than a modernised Np.
...I mean.. Could you imagine a fully seated grange end???

Loved NP and would move back there tomorrow if it were still there and that's nothing against the CCS which it a very good modern stadium with excellent facilities.
I just never have the same feeling walking to the CCS for a night match as I did when walking to NP and seeing those 4 floodlight pylons shining down of the stadium. Goosebum time.

CB you have been around and close to the place. Is there any truth in the fact that there were plans to redevelop on the Ninian Park ground?

Like the new stadium, don't get me wrong, but Ninian had a magical quality to it. Maybe it's cause I was boy when I went
Sat Sep 27, 2014 11:27 am
A fairer question would be, standing or all seated. I don't know about you but with very few exceptions, there is nowhere near the same atmosphere in all seaters. One benefit we've had in having a smaller stadium is its almost always a sell out. Last Tuesday at CCS must have been depressing for the die hards.
