I haven't posted for a few days because I been just reading over a lot of supporters views over social media and on here. To be honest with you I am disgusted with the attitude of the supporters of this club.. a majority. Embarrassing tweets on Twitter of our supporters already writing off Russell Slade. The guy hasn't even got the job yet. All down to the Premier League, lot of our fans think were bigger than what we really are. I back the appointment of any manager because they are walking into our club regardless of high payment, transfer backing they still want to be charge and want to do something with our club which I support and love.
I read since the rebrand came about 'Tradition over success' I now see that view as the biggest load of nonsense because I haven't been strong viewed on backing the blue as some people yet them people who are.. are the ones complaining about the manager, the future and path of this club wondering what's next and are worried about possible relegation yet 'League 2 over being in red'.That view is a pure delusional lie to me the things I have read.
Yes we do need a reality check, yes I am sad and I did back Ole because everyone deserves a chance yet I have received abuse on here, twitter, facebook and for what? To want someone who is employed and works for the club.. represents the club to succeed and it just shows the attitude of some which is disgraceful. I haven't supported the club as long as a lot of people.. a thousand people but yet it seems I with a minority seem to wants to back whoever is managing the team. I watched us under Malky and I have walked out of games like Burnley home march 2012? We drew 0-0 on Sunday and my word the football, the whole day just dumb and gloomy but I would still back Malky.. I have knocked him but I always expected him to mix things up from time to time like a master class 4-0 performance which he did do in the 2012/2013 season. I have criticised him since he left down to an overall view of he was, what he wanted to do, how he played. But I still backed him despite the dire football on times. But now it's come to the point where a manager hasn't officially got the job has been written off down to being a league lower. Some even saying 'he's another yes man' yet Annis once met him and had a conversation and never backed the rebrand and got involved so this yes man is a load of tosh.
If he is appointed I won't be disappointed because I will back anyone who will manage by club and try and do the best they can. The guy has left his own job from LO which I assume he does really want the job? I thought we backed the likes of Conway, Gunnarsson, Hudson because they want to be here and give 100% which what Slade appears to be and wants to give here. I like the guy just for the fact he is excited by the challenge and wants the chance to prove himself. What happened to appreciating someone who wants to be here and will do anything? Because I do remember the attitude of a lot of fans who liked that, backed that even sung the praises to the roof tops.
If Slade gets the job I will be happy and will give him the chance.

Yes he may be willing and enthusiastic, but that won't cut any ice if we don't get results on the pitch or at least start to show signs we are building up to something special.
Interesting times.

They believed in malky and turned down various managers. I believe hughton and di Matteo were spoken too if I'm not mistaken... This time we haven't interviewed anyone, just jumped in two footed for a unproven journey man... We are talking about a guy who has never won a single promotion in 20 yrs!

What did Moyes do at Everton? Did he win anything? Ferguson was given time.
The boardroom ain't the best but past few months they have been professional. The Malky stuff coming out? We didn't do anything rash or stupid but remained as one and didn't back down on anything that was released. Ole left or sacked.. was on good terms.
Are we really pissed off with the club being run ATM? Because to me it's the performances and results and that's the hard truth/

Pulis is guaranteed that everywhere he walks then?
he joined Gillingham in the summer of 1995,[1] whom he managed for a further four seasons, turning a team that had struggled at the very bottom of the Football League into a promotion winning one in his first season, and laying the foundations for the club's eventual elevation to the First Division for the first time in their history
January 2000, he left Bristol City to become manager of Portsmouth. Pulis took Portsmouth from the bottom three to mid-table
He was then out of work for two years, before the resignation of Stoke City's manager Steve Cotterill early into the 2002–03 season led to Pulis being given the job that November.[11] Pulis immediately found himself in a relegation battle and it looked likely that the club would be relegated back to the Second Division, only a year after being promoted. However, Pulis completed the signings of striker Ade Akinbiyi[12] and goalkeeper Mark Crossley,[13] on loan from Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough respectively, who helped turn around the club's bad run. Stoke avoided relegation on the final day of the 2002–03 season with a 1–0 win over Reading at the Britannia Stadium, with Akinbiyi scoring the only goal of the game.[14] Pulis rates Stoke's survival in 2002–03 as one of his best achievements in management.[15]
In the following season, 2003–04, Pulis guided the club to an 11th place finish
After taking over as manager at Championship side Plymouth Argyle,[22] Pulis managed to turn around a floundering team, to one that with the right investment could challenge for a top half/play off place in 2006–07. The turn-around coincided with the loan of West Ham United central defender Elliott Ward[23] and the club improved even further with the permanent signing of Lilian Nalis from Sheffield United.[24] Plymouth Argyle ended the season 14th in the Championship table
Pulis guided Stoke City to promotion to the Premier League on the final day of the season. It was to be Stoke's first top flight campaign in 23 years
Pulis has received much praise for his work with Stoke on a limited budget, in particular his achievement of keeping them in the Premier League. He was mentioned as a possible candidate for the 2008–09 Premier League manager of the year award.
We know the rest, fa cup final, Europa league and of course the turnaround at palace.
Some think its pretty safe to say that he would be the perfect candidate for our club as yes he has proven wherever he has been..

Fair point, but I disagree with some of the above... Pulis has already proven what he can do with an average stoke team that maintained prem league status and top half of table and an 11th place finish with a shit palace team....
Prior to our malky appointment when we had Whitley and.co doing the recruitment we had all sorts of managers with good reputations lined up, interviewed and spoken too more than once. They believed in malky and turned down various managers. I believe hughton and di Matteo were spoken too if I'm not mistaken... Hughton went else where and lead his team to promotion and di Matteo won the champs league....
This time we haven't interviewed anyone, just jumped in two footed for a unproven journey man... We are talking about a guy who has never won a single promotion in 20 yrs!
He will get my support of course as will anyone who takes charge but it doesn't stop us forming an opinion and a concern as paying fans...
And what has Slade done here? Nothing yet but he hasn't even got the job so I want to know your crystal ball? You see us failing under him? Relegation? You seem to have it figured out?
Not mentioned relegation..... But when I interview someone for a job, I look at their c.v. To see if they are capable of doing the role successfully... His cv is not great for a club with our ambition...
What has he won? 2 league manager awards in 20 yrs...
O promotions
O trophies
O opportunities at champ level... Why is it that no one has taken a punt on him? Because he is unproven....
I personally don't think that our high earning players will give him the respect.... They will think who the hell is this guy? And let's be honest, most of us had never heard of him 2 weeks ago...
This appointment is vital that we get it spot on and I think upstairs we have been advised wrongly but who I don't know, but we should at least get a list of available candidates and speak to them all before taking a massive gamble on a unknown and unproven manager...
do u need a cv for football manager?? as lots are picked on who they are and not what success they acheived? we all know slades cv and it is better than malkies before he came here so that rubbishes your point on cv and gamble as he was only 18mnths manager at watford and unproven!! lots more managers out there the same as malky slade ect ect, u dont need a list as every man and his dog knows who is out of a job!
The club bought into Malkys philosophy and he shone in his interview...... Plus he was a young hungry manager.....we can compare malky to slade In 15 or so yrs... But after 2 yrs malky has already achieved more than what slade had in his whole career.
All I'm saying is we should speak to all candidates first rather than just go for an unknown...
Bought into Malky's philosophy? It was either Di Matteo or Chris Hughton who was defiantly going to the job but one of them turned up with the wrong presentation which was related to West Ham.
