The club has to stop taking risks

As Russell Slade is all but confirmed as our manager (especially as he has just handed in his resignation), I can't help but feel this is the beginning of our downward slump. If we are serious about promotion we don't need to take any risks with managers, we need those who can get the job done, not someone who can possibly take us up. I will fully support the new manager by all means like I have previously with OGS, but this would effectively rule out promotion this year, which is what we NEED.

100% agree. I will support the new manager but I still think it is a huge gamble which is not needed at this time. Less chance of making a success of it and we could be looking for another manager at the end of the season.

Dalman was quoted as saying we need promotion this season or we have financial difficulties. How can the club honestly believe that Slade is the right man to get us up this season?
