AM I BEING THICK?

Maybe I am being too simpleminded , but whats wrong with choosing 4 or 5 of the decent managers that are availabe and interviewing to hear their ideas and decide the best bet for City.
E.g. Pulis Hughton. Clarke. Lennon. Mc Dermot and maybe AN Other (a less obvious candidate). Obviously the club cant please us all whoever they choose BUT at least it would look a professional and sensible decision.
You would think that any Chief Exec worth their salt would do something like that, not use a hunch from (presumably) Glen Roeder to determine who to approach.

By the way if I was asked to pick a list of 25 potential advisors ( and/or D o Fs) then Glen Roeder would not get anywhere near the list!!

Perfectly sensible idea, but at Cardiff City we don't so sensible! As seen by our chairman taking advice from Glenn Roeder!

Your not being thick as it's a good idea in principal. The only problem you have is that I doubt whether even one of the names you've mentioned would be prepared to undergo an 'interview'. The answer would be "Either offer me the job or look elsewhere!" And that's if they wanted it.

No one with enough knowledge at the club to make a good decision. Thats why it looks like Roeder and Slade.
