Can anyone tell me if he is in the last year of his contract and if so why was he loaned out when he will be free to go when his contract ends, why did we not just give him a free???

He signed a one year extension then was loaned out. The guess would be that Bolton paid a loan fee for him and we are still able to recall him if needed.
