Owners of Orient ready to Sack Slade if one more loss

Wed Sep 24, 2014 7:17 am

Maybe they havent sacked him yet as they are waiting for Tan to waste more money on compensation for Russell Slade, when if he waits he will be on the dole que.

It just gets worse.

Russ Slade translated the ultimatum (in the dressing room, in front of the players) relayed by our Sporting Director after the Col U home shambles.

Deemed not good enough by his own Division 1 club yet our club are desperate to get him.

That sums up our club at the moment! Club being given bad advice? :o

Comments from Russell Slade on the Cardiff job

"It's frustrating," he said of the initial approach being turned down.

"It's been turned down and that's all I can say, and whether Cardiff come back again I'm not sure.

"Maybe they'll move on. It's a big club and it will be a big job for somebody that eventually ends up with it."

Let's hope Orient win a few more games and refuse Slade the chance to speak to us

So tan is taking advice of certain individuals as he has no clue.. How about listening to the most important advice from the fans itself.

They want to sack him but refuse to let cardiff speak to him?

I really hope we don't speak to him......

Can't get my head around this and the longer we wait the worse our camp is going to get!

If they sack him they have to pay him up. If we want to take him from oriant we have to pay them a package.

havnt orient been taken over by some one who doesnt want slade as manager, but to bring in own guy? thats reason for him so close to sacking , orient dont want to compensate either!! as been reported on here slades record is not bad and has is considered to be good man manager and have good fitness ethos! so nothing to do with him not being good enough for orient!

ps does anyone read and digest what is put on this board? as all this as been put in threads, ! :old:

The fact that Leyton Orient are considering sacking him should be enough for us to realise that he's not good enough for us, surely.

No they only read and digest what suits their agenda. You are correct Orient were taken over in the Summer by a nutcase Italian who is quite a lot similar to the Leeds owner.

He has come in, wants to put a stamp on the place and have his own guy in charge that he can influence as Slade is his own man and already comfortable doing things his way.

Basically the owner could not really just come in a get rid of the best manager in the division (as voted on by the Football League AND his peers last season) so he his trying to pressure the situation so he does not look as bad. However us showing an interest has thrown a spanner in the works as now he has a chance to make a few quid out of the deal as well.

I Have a different view on this - ( IMO ) Cardiff want Slade to resign his post - if they want him that badly.

3 approaches have been made - Cardiff getting no where with their actions ( see link below ) .

Becchetti said: “I was informed by a lawyer, to consent to the transfer of Russell to Cardiff, consent to which I denied authorisation.
“Then I received an authorisation request for Russell to go directly to Malaysia immediately after the match to speak with the owner of Cardiff. Permission which I denied.

“Someone might think that rush to tell the press what happened in the locker room could be linked to the interests of Cardiff while instead I believed blindly in Russell and until proven otherwise, I continue to believe in his good faith and honesty.”

I agree 100% with what you say! but if Tan is the fantastic business man we all regularly read of, why can't he see this?

Because he wants the club to rack up debt and to collect with a far better return from the next mug who becomes the next owner
