Pathetic

I was there tonight along with 6.400 other hardy souls and I have got to say that first half was one of the worst City displays in my over 40 years of supporting City probably on a par with our abject performance against Weymouth many moons ago. :old:

Tonight in the first half we were disorganised, spineless, off the pace and lacked any passion or fight we let Bournemouth run rings around us and they were first to every ball, incisive and moved the ball at pace aided by the fact that City players seemed incapable of tackling anyone in a BLUE shirt (Oh the irony) They were 3-0 up in just over half an hour and to be honest it could have been 5 :o

At this point Scot Young hooked off Kimbo who looked completely lost and did not seem to know where he was playing and also Guera who looked out of sorts and lost virtually every ball played into him and it was obvious that the lack of game time he has had made him very rusty but even then you would expect him to be able to execute a 2 yard pass!

At this point Gabbidon should also have substituted himself because he had nearly cost us a further two goals and he was to go on to have a absolute mare over the 90 minutes :(

To be fair the substitutions we did make Daheli and Macheda did improve things and we started to press Bournemouth higher up the pitch and stopped giving them the freedom of the park. However it was all too little to late and the only consolation was we didn't concede in the 2nd half although we came perilously close to doing so on two separate occasions.

Credit to Daheli for working hard and trying to make things happen and he was my City MOM also must mention the youngsters who congregated together in 116 and created some atmosphere which helped make the second half bearable :bluescarf:

Big changes needed for Sheffield Wednesday and to be honest I would only consider 3 players from tonight for selection and that would be Gunnarson, Daheli and Brayford although he wasn't particularly impressive tonight. I also think tonight proved that Scot Young and Gabby are not the answer and we need to get a Manager in place asap to restore some semblance of stability to our Club :old:
