Leyton orient programme notes

Tue Sep 23, 2014 6:27 pm

On Radio Wales just now, in the Orient programme notes today the owner has put out a statement in regards to Slade.

Cardiff did ask for permission off Orient for Slade to fly to Malaysia to meet with VT, permission that the Orient owner refused to give.

I guess the ball is now in Slades court, if he wants the job it's on a plate, all he has to do is resign.

I know this info is kind of old, just some added detail.

After the way that chairman has treated him and we are a tremendous opportunity i think he will resign and come to us. :ayatollah:

Who in there right mind would resign if no job has been guaranteed ? He could resign to take the hot seat and then Jones (Tans original choice of DOF) changes his mind and poor old Slade is back on the dole list.

Life is a gamble, if you don't try and grab opportunities when they arrive you may never get that opportunity again.
He's obviously been touted to the club so he's half way into the job, he just has to give a good interview and say the right things and make the right noises and he's got it judging by all the effort being put in by us to talk to him. I doubt the club would be putting all this effort in if they were in doubt as to whether he's the right man or not.
A gamble on Slade's behalf but a fairly safe one I'd say.
