" Ravel Morrison reveals three-month loan deal to Cardiff City agreed as he tweets joy at prospect of playing again "

Tues Sep 23, 2014

Morrison has seen first-team opportunities at West Ham limited this season ahead of a court case in January

Ravel Morrison has joined Cardiff City on a three-month loan deal, the star has revealed on Twitter.

It had been thought he would join on a season-long deal but the 21-year-old has announced - initially at least - he will link-up with the Bluebirds until January.

He announced on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon: "Happy to get a 3 month loan @CardiffCityFC time to start playing some football again."

Morrison started his career at Manchester United where former defender Rio Ferdinand revealed Sir Alex Ferguson rated him as the "best kid" he had ever seen.

But in 2012, Morrison moved to West Ham here he showed a brief glimpse of his potential with a memorable solo goal versus Spurs before loan spells with Birmingham and Queens Park Rangers.

Thought the club were standing up for high morals these days, and ridding itself of racists, homophobes and people with unsavoury past/allegations?

Perhaps I must have misunderstood Tan and all along it really was just a personal witch hunt against Malky Mackay.

Crazy! This club is a joke. Tan just undid all the good will he had over malky texts.

Fit or not, it will not be noticed amongst our squad if the rumours of their poor fitness are true.
Appalling that professionals are allowed (and allow themselves) to be in such poor physical condition.

Malky or Morrison?

Who has actually seen the proof against Mackay?
Morrison has a proven record of threats and assaults, as well as a fine (£7000 I think) for abuse on twitter.
This type of person is not what this club needs, when trying to build a family club reputation and be all inclusive (word so often used by the PC brigade).

um i think malky coming out to the public apologizing pretty much confirms his guilt in sending the racist text messages

But why? Not disbelieving you as I have no idea either way, but I find it hard to believe (if rumours are true) that Tan has a wide enough knowledge of football to know about Ravel Morrison and even more so Slade at Orient. Who is advising him?

To me a lot of problems and rifts appeared in the club after Sam Hammam returned, coincidence or not?

Malky has apologised and admitted a couple of inappropriate e-mails, it's just the extent/number that's in dispute.

In fairness to Morrison, the current situation is massively different as he has denied everything. I am uncomfortable with him coming here but this is a different situation to Malky.

I don't see a problem with another club employing Malky once the investigation and any follow up proceedings are completed, similarly Morrison has served his punishments for previous offences and therefore

Out of 10,000 text messages in and out of someone’s phone, I sent three, and that being the case, looking at them, they are completely unacceptable, inappropriate, and for that and any offence I’ve caused, I sincerely apologise.
“That’s something that I did, and for that, there is no excuse.”

Sorry missed that, as all I heard was an apology if he upset anyone. I have not actually seen the texts or heard him say what they were. Thought most texts were ones he received not actually sent.
But I find it strange that what people say or think is seen as far worse than their actions. MM did not threaten to throw acid in someone' face or burn down their house (as alleged against Morrison) who also has a record of intimidation (proven) and homophobic twitter messages (proven).

Well if that's the case who is going to want to work for him.
If my job and reputation was on the line I would want to buy, train and select the team.......if it fails then you know its your fault.

Agree with that. How can a club run properly if someone with no knowledge of football, 1,000's of miles away is buying players.
Who is advising Tan is the biggest question in all this?

Tan is picking the players, the question is who is picking the team??

I bet we will see Velikonja tonight at some stage.

If tan bought the to be fair he got a good eye then because the talents there just needs someone to make them a team

If Tan is buying players himself then he's done quite a good job  some of the signings under Ole are good buys!

How fit is he?

Only of use if he can step right into the team.

Remember we had Julian Gray here for 3 months, but spent most of the time getting fit.

We may see him at some stage tonight but from what I hear Leeds Utd fans may be seeing a lot more of him.

Tan might have "signed" the players but I doubt he chose them.
