Joe Kinnear has become the latest former Premier League manager to be spotted in the Cardiff City directors' box in recent weeks as the hunt for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's successor continues.
Kinnear was alongside City chiefs at Pride Park on Saturday to watch the Bluebirds take on Derby County as a guest of life president Sam Hammam.
Hammam and Kinnear remain close friends from their days at the Dons but there is no suggestion whatsoever that Kinnear is in the mix to replace Solskjaer, or that Hammam has any sway on Cardiff's next appointment despite reports in the North East suggesting Kinnear is keen to make a return to football
The presence of Kinnear follows that of former West Ham and Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder, who was a guest of Cardiff City chiefs during the final two matches of Solskjaer's ill-fated reign.

Again, there is no real suggestion Roeder is being considered for the Cardiff role, although it is believed he has offered some level of advice to the club.
Former Newcastle United director of football and manager Kinnear resigned from his post at St James’ Park last February after failing to sign a single player on a permanent basis.
Cardiff are understood to have not ruled out changing the structure of the club to incorporate a director of football position, while Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade remains the favourite

Mike, Ive dropped it as a sticky as its a non starter.
Sam took Kinnear to the match just as friends and was going to come to the pub we were drinking in,but they got stuck in traffic.
