Director of football true or false???

Everyone seems to think tan is lining up a director of football and then wants a first team coach.
But I'm just wondering is this actually true or false?
What actual proof do we have of this or is it just people and media just spreading rumours?
The poster staff mentioned earlier that tan wanted dave jones to be at the club working as an advisor, doesn't necessarily mean as a director of football does it...

It wold possibly explain the "difference in philosophy" between Ole and the club, would also explain that they did not expect to lose him and why they don't have a replacement.
