well said mate, some on here are expecting Jose or Wenger to come to Cardiff demanding the job. IMO this bloke will do alright after seeing what he's done at Orient. At least the ones who say they are not going to games whilst Slade is in charge will not be there hurling abuse.

When are people going to realise we are not exactly one of the giants of British Football. We are not even the best club in this small country of ours. We are at best an average size club who have spent the best part of 40 years playing in the lower levels of the English League, with one brief season at the top.

We aren't the only ones. Had Radio Derby on for 15 mins on the bus yesterday on the way home and their fans were ripping into their manager, players etc.. despite how well they played (in all honesty we were lucky with a point) and how well they have done over the last 18 months or so.

It's endemic in society now, spoilt people/fans expecting everything their own way, and now, no patience to wait or work for things and expecting everything put on a plate for them. So many people with no respect for others, moan moan moan about how rubbish everyone else is at what they do. players, managers, club staff, board members at football clubs, but just about every other thing that's done in society as well.

Have a look around the messageboards of other clubs and you'll see what I mean.

City is my local club and the one my family have supported for generations and for better or worse, they are mine and whoever plays for them and manages them will get my support as long as they are putting the effort in. Slade, just like all those before him will get the chance he deserves if he's appointed. let's face it, he'll have a much better chance of succeeding if we all get behind him - and surely isn't that success what we all want ? Wouldn't it be great if a relative unknown came in and took us up ?

How do these fans know it's the wrong appointment? They know in hindsight that Ole was the wrong appointment, his record at the club backs up their argument. Only time will tell if Slade is the wrong appointment. Perhaps he will be, but equally he may end up being a City legend. Nobody can possibly know until he is given the opportunity to prove himself. It would be a huge opportunity for him, and I imagine he will give it everything to prove that he deserves a chance at this level.
