“In a way I'm glad it's over because it's not nice watching from the side – it's much better playing,” said Gabbidon. “But we have to be delighted with the result. It was disappointing to be 2-0 up and concede so late but if you look at the game overall the draw was a fair result.
“We rode our luck at times in the first-half, we were too deep but we changed one or two things and in the end we're disappointed not to have held onto the win.
“But you cannot fault the work-rate and the effort and seeing the lads truing to put in place what we have talked about and we could be satisfied by the end.
“We knew we wanted to contain them but we weren't doing what we wanted to do in the first-half – we weren't closing them down and no-one was engaging in the areas we wanted them do.
“We tried to get them higher up the pitch and it worked because they struggled to play through us and we were winning the balls in the right places so we could affect them instead of being camped in so we can be pleased with the way they adapted to those changes.
“It's the end of a very different week than I would have expected but it's been very insightful. It's felt like a month and we've not slept much but we've enjoyed it. We hoped we could get a positive result and in some ways in went better than expected because the main thing was we wanted them to work hard and put in a performance for the fans.”

Scott Young added: “From our point of view, having only 24 hours to work with the team, we can take positives from the messages they've taken on board against a tough team with excellent movement and rotation.
“We will see where it goes from here now. Our directive was to take charge of team today. We don't know about Tuesday, all we have done is put the wheels in motion to prepare the team for the game but we will have conversations and see where it takes us.”
