We are not a big club. ...

So why would we get a big name manager?

Come on people we've had one very poor season in the top league...There are bigger teams than us in the championship.

Russell Slade, yes it's a suprise he's going to be our new manager but give him a chance. Malky wasn't a big name and look what he done, anybody has got to be an improvement on OGS.

Russell Slade has never managed the top three tier in his 20 year career.

THIS!! Slade is a good manger in the lower leagues, great season last, but 20 years and no one has took a chance on him, WHY us why now, Just don't get it

We are not a big club but we are certainly a big Championship club! Over the last decade at this level we've won the title and reached major cup finals. We have also spent millions and have a new stadium and very nice training ground while also regularly getting over 20,000 at the gate! We should be a very attractive proposition to a lot of managers at this level and current out of work. Why we are going for a man who in twenty years of management has never managed above league one I don't know! We can do better and this is a humongous risk when we don't need to take one! I like Slade and think he's a good guy so he will have my support but I'm seriously underwhelmed by the appointment and think its crazy!
