You have to ask if the club are about to shoot themselves in the foot by appointing an 'unknown' and unproven manager.

We have been linked with Hartley and now the bookies have stopped taking bets on Slade. No disrespect to them but if Slade for example was appointed, are the fans likely to turn up week in week out if the quality of football is not there.

After The gamble with Ole did not pay off surely the club should be looking for a proven manager with Championship/ Premiership experience. If this appointment happens I cannot seeing it excite many fans. Forget the promised land.
