a lot of people still blaming the manager...... when will people realise the players are at fault too :?: :?: :?: :?:

A manager can only do so much, change tactics etc etc, he can't get onto the pitch and score...... that's the players job.....

Players that he got in... Players that he has to motivate... Players that he has to train into a system...

The manager did TOO much in my eyes. Too much rotation, too many systems, too much fitting players to a system, rather than a system to the players.

The back four is a prime example.... very disorganised purely because there was no consistency. How on earth could the players gel, if they were with a different set of colleagues every week?

It was a mess and he was rightly sacked. Nice guy, just not the one for the job.

Not just players he brought in, players MM brought in and players who have been at the club long enough to know better.......

I've never disputed that OGS got things wrong, what people fail to realise is that as a manger the buck stops there...... the players are just as much at fault but they can't be sacked or we wouldn't be left with a squad so the manager takes the fall. If a player doesn't perform on the pitch during a match the manager can take him off, 3 subs to change the way 11 players are playing (or not as the case was on Tuesday especially)....... If the players did their jobs on the pitch we wouldn't have got relegated, nor would we be sat so low down the table, we should be sat up the top with the squad we've got..... once those players walk out onto the pitch it is their job to ensure that they perform and push for the win, the manager can't change their attitudes or set balls up for goal scoring opportunities......

OGS isn't a crap manager, he achieved plenty of Silverware as manager of Utd Reserves and he won the Tippeligaen with Molde several years in a row too
