As I previously stated ahead of the club statement Tan Sri VincentTan and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came to an amicable agreement.

Ole wanted to step down after the season results so far and the direction the club is moving towards, Ole felt he wasn't able to run the management side of football the way he wanted.

Tan Sri has his mind focussed on introducing a football advisor between himself and the manager.

The amicable agreement has seen a £2.5million severance package paid to Ole and his staff that have left.

Tan Sri is now having to start from the bottom up, after Malky Mackay and Ole have taken their backroom staff with them.

Dave Jones has discussed returning to the club but Jones wants to be manager and not director of football.

Bournemouth crowd is expected not to rise over 6,000.

I think it is safe to assume that those 'new direction' has come about BECAUSE of the current lack of form.

Malky gets a chunk on money and it does not work. Ole gets good funding for this division and it doesn't work.

Ole may have been given the chance to stay but with a Director of Football above him. He chose to take the severance.

Probably and I hope he succeeds in the future. But I'll be disappointed if he absolves itself from the awful performances HIS teams were churning out. Thats why he was sacked, nothing to do with differences in direction.

We can't dump ALL the blame on Ole, yes his tactics were weird to say the least and the buck stops with him, BUT, the players themselves need to take some of the responsibility, we could have Mourhino or SAF in charge and if the players don't turn up on the pitch and perform as they should then even those pair would struggle at a club

I see where you are coming from mate, but this was oles team he built, a manager is supposed to bring in players that fits his philosophy... Especially when you are backed by the chairman as much as he was in the transfer window. Last season you could say it was down to the players he inherited, but this season was his team. Looks like he brought in the wrong kind of players to suit his mentality and philosophy, and that's why perhaps they haven't been performing. Another manager may get the best out of them. Personally I still think this is a great squad at this level

When your team is struggling, you need to be able to rebuild the player´s confidence. I think Solskjaer realized he was not able to do so without being backed by the fans, especially at a time when the confidence is low. It´s not an issue of Cardiff fans being awful people, it´s simply down to the fact that the players are wearing the wrong colour, which makes it easier for fans to turn against the players when they don´t perform. The differences in philosophy is related to the rebrand. No one understands better than Solskjaer what the fan´s support mean for a team.

true, the squad we have should walk this league, hopefully we get a good manager who takes us forward and not a step or 3 back and appoint Jones

Arrow, since we banned the so called 9, we stopped letting posters join,we reopened it and over 50 have joined since, but none with their IP's that's all that matters to us, keeping the forum, a football debating forum
