Now Ole has gone I hope that Guerra is given a start tomorrow to show what he can do.

Out of all the strikers he has had the least game time but the little time that he has had ( Huddersfield in particular) he was a class above everyone else. Great linking up midfield attack/ held the ball up well and great vision.

Even if he only plays 60-70 mins well worth the run out.

And Macheda needs to get a few more matches under his belt too - still think he can be a gem for Cardiff. And Le Fondre needs game time and needs to impress. I would agree that Jones deserves his place. Guerra is class and I rate him a lot higher than Macheda. Le Fondre to come off the bench and to be played up front & not out wide. probably 4-5-1 against Derby away mind!

One of Ollie's biggest mistakes. Every time he played, even if for 10 mins, he hardly gave the ball away and looked to have the ability to change the game, even on Tuesday

He also has the look of someone who could play up front on his own, alongside Jones or alongside one of the other smaller strikers. It will be very interesting to see if the new regime rates him too

Totally agree there mate. Guerra should be ahead of Jones every game. I cannot believe that Guerra has not been used that much this season. This guy scored 17 goals, for a struggling side in la liga last season. Yet, he can't get a game at Cardiff City in the second tier of English football?? Absolutely ridiculous, thank god Solskjaer is no longer our manager. There were times when Javi was fit yet he didn't even make the bench. Madness!!

The team i hope Gabbs will start with tomorrow and hopefully for the rest of the season under our new manager, would be either a 4-2-1-3:-

I don't think Whittingham should be anywhere near the first team at the moment as he is far too inconsistant and on top of that i feel that Ralls is a better option than him as Ralls is a better mover, he gets stuck in, can score goals and works harder for the team than Whittingham. Whittingham being in the team just because he is a good set piece taker does not wash with me. We need midfielders that will offer us numerous different options and on top if that Whitts is too one paced and more often than not slows the pace of the game down and we lose momentum. So Whitts should be DROPPED and not rested. You notice in the Echo that whenever he doesn't play it isnt down to poor performance or inconsistency it is always because he is tired and in need of a rest. Personally, i feel that Ralls is going to be a brilliant midfielder for us in the future and now i feel that he deserves his chance in the team, as does Kadeem Harris. I really think that season at Yeovil did wonders for Ralls as before he went there i did not see what all the fuss about him was from former managers but now i do and he definitely is a special player.

I am so much more excited and a hell of a lot more optimistic about our chances at Derby tomorrow, now that Solskjaer is not manager and picking the team. I do think that Gabbs and Youngy can instill enough believe, passion and confidence into the side, for us to come away with all 3 points. The future seems a hell of a lot more brighter than it did on Tuesday/Wednesday, even though we have yet to appoint a new manager.

We shouldn't be criticizing him for his play, but the managers for playing him out of position.

I do agree with you there mate about Whittingham playing out of position. Buy, why do all of the managers thst come into this club all play him as a DM?? It is ridiculous, anybody with any kind of brain can see that playing Whitts there is hurting the team as we concede a lot of goals due to Whitts playing there, instead of a hard tackling, good positioning, hard working defensive midfielder. I do feel for him at times but he has still been far too inconsistent, losing the ball in posession and giving the ball away to cheaply. Remember, he is supposed to be the best passer at the club and he is supposed to be good at keeping posession of the ball, but he does not show it enough. He should be playing the number 10 roll behind two strikers but i feel Daehli would be better than Whitts in that position. So, i do not think that there is a place in the team for Whittingham anymore, that is if we go with Daehli as number 10, so Whittingham has to be on the bench in my opinion. I am fed up of managers making the team weaker by always trying to find a place for Whittingham can play in. If he can't play behind the strikers then i wish these managers would just leave him out of the starting eleven

All the managers that come into the club probably play Whittingham out of position because of DJ playing him out of position when Bellers and Rambo (loan) joined the club. The new managers probably came in and asked the coaching staff one of which is Scott Young where he played instead of asking the players. This has left the club with continuity of playing players out of position, hence my post yesterday on continuity and why a whole new coaching staff are required. It's the only logical answer, otherwise why would successive managers make the same mistake?

He had an absolute mare on Tuesday night. Most of that team did mind.

YEh upfront alone balls pinged at at not to him and lefondre on one wing, maynard on the other, good player but manager, needs to have someone up front with him
