' What if it works? '

What if we get a huge result on Saturday and VT lets Gabbs and Young stay?

What if we get some good results and go on a run?

Is An Experienced Manager or a big name essential?

What if we get promoted this season with two true Bluebirds at the helm?

Would we then be more united as supporters behind OUR team?

It'd be ideal. Swansea have got lucky with all of their managers so it'd be nice to get a bit of luck and fortune on our side. The only problem I'd have with it is that it'd be harder to negotiate deals due to inexperience. Ole had his United and Norweigan contacts, Jones had his contacts and so did Malky. So we'd have to bring in a DOF/Chief Executive to negotiate deals

I hope Danny gets them organised and Scott frightens the f@cking life out of them and threatens to kill anyone who does not make an effort. :laughing6:

Chicken. Head. Cut. Off.

Springs to mind.

After reading all the gossip I have to say that for me the ideal solution would be for Youg and Gabbs to get them firing tomorrow and then build a head of steam to the point that they would deserve a longer crack at it.

I know that neither have any record as managers but they do know the club and players. Let's be fair, apart from a couple of weaknesses, the squad is there for them. It's just a matter of motivation and organisation, easier said than done I accept but none of the candidates (including Pullis, even though he's the best of the rest) get me excited.

I know it's an outside shot but unless there is a candidate ready to take over now at least they'll have a chance to prove themselves.

In your opinion of course :D

As it stands right now, a new manager is not imminent which gives this pairing an opportunity that nobody else will have.

Whilst tomorrow, clearly, won't prove that they could do the job permanently it could give us an indication as to whether the players will have confidence in them and actually play for them, unlike the end of OGS's time !

It will all start with team selection. We will have an idea of how it will go as soon as we see it tomorrow.
The midfield selection will be key imo.

If we get promoted this season, there'll be a lot of disappointed posters on this message board, who'll have Feck All else to moan about! :D :old: :happy1:

Apparently we've got the squad and most of the people on here think that they can pick a winning team, so who knows what will happen until tomorrow's match. ;)

Neither can I to be honest. Gabbidon is a quiet guy and I don't think that Young is a fire & brimstone type of guy either.

I'm sure that Ole tried to treat the players as adults and didn't feel the need to go thumping lockers and throwing cups of tea around the changing room, it's not his style. Unfortunately, some players need a rocket up their backsides to get them to perform and need the law laid down to them... Pulis ticks the boxes.

Dikgacoi was happy to get away from pulls :laughing6: I think he signed with us because he didn't want to play under pulis. At least he had a right moan about him when he came here.
To be fair pulls is a great motivator but his football is a snoozefest.

It won't work though. We may win on Saturday but that doesn't mean they'll get the job.

Re: ' What if it works? '

Will the current squad respect them? Will they even know who they are? Legends in the fans eyes means nothing at playing level I wish them the very best but I cant see them holding enough respect

Re: ' What if it works? '

It has never worked at other clubs and it will not work at ours.

We may have a better perfromance on Saturday - cant be any worse -but it would only be a short term improvement and come xmas we are well off the pace.

9 times out of 10, only a top championship experienced manager can get a team out of the Championship. Malky did well, but learned his trade elsewhere.

I agree, this is my concern too. I'm just trying to picture Scott Young pulling Guerra to one side on the training ground and offering him advice on how to make his runs or where he should be taking up position.
