It's great to appoint "an up and coming manager" but isn't it too much of a gamble if the clubs owner is desperate for promotion?
Surely you cannot afford to take that gamble if you seek instant promotion? You cannot beat experience and that's why for example Palace did well last year under Pulis, Hull did well under Bruce and out of the promoted teams we were relegated under Malky/ Ole. I think we had a chance under Malky but when Ole took over we had very little chance.
Forest are doing well under Pearce, Derby under McClarren, Wolves under Jackett and Millwall under Holloway. Experience counts.
At this time I think we could do with that experience of the Championship/ Premiership and there are plenty of managers out there who fit the hill and are available!

Isn't it amazing how the bulk of the fans can't see what's required yet Tan picks an option that no other owner would pick considering he wants promotion this season?
