Tan is a clever man

Fri Sep 19, 2014 9:31 am

Do you really think that tan has accumulated his fortunes by luck or lack of planning? I for one think that tan has been planning our new manager and director of football since the summer. My reasons are that when we got relegated realised that ole might not be up to the task and had started planning for it did fail( which it has now). So I think that if its Paul Hartley tan has been doing his checks since the summer. Don't forget if its another bad appointment even though it hurts as fans of the club, it doesn't cost us millions of pounds. Before you say he lends us the money that is true but he has less chance he will get it back if we are plying our trade in lower end of championship or worse. Also lets managers make their own mistakes making them quit rather than sack with huge severance payments. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I don't think it is a clever move if he does appoint a manager who has no experience of the Championship/ Premiership. It's great to have an " up and coming manager" but it's always a gamble e.g. Ole. If it does not work out then the club will be looking for another manager in the summer and the owner is looking for instant promotion!

You cannot beat experience and that's why Palace did well under Pulis, Hull have done well under Bruce and we had Ole!

he's not that clever, had his own new 'in-house' company design the new shirts and can't get them into the shops on time.......

He accumulated his fortune in business totally unrelated to the football world so what is your point?

Nothing clever about putting a management team in place on the cheap.

17th in the division with debt of over 150m isn't the time to let people cut their teeth as manager when the owner clearly wants promotion this season.

People keep saying he's cleaver, I've yet to see anything even close to cleaver from the clown yet.

Exactly. I fear a relegation struggle.
