people of cardiff

Why do they take the moral high ground if you're not from cardiff, they just call you a jack if you're from abit west of cardiff, What cardiffians need to realise if i wasn't for the valleys/neath/port talbot/bridgend/llanelli/carmarthen etc CCFC would be as small as swansea IMO. its insulting you go to an away game and get called a jack, yeahhh course im a jack i only travelled 5 hours to watch a team i dont even care about :?

If you're a bluebird, you're a bluebird. Doesn't matter where you're from. Thinking otherwise is just small mindedness. :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

me either, obviously there's a bit of banter between cardiffians and valleys dwellers, but its no worse than people from one valley taking the piss out of people from another.

I think someone has had a bit of a disagreement with a supporter this week

Probably, I wouldn't be surprised if was just one fan who made a joke about him and then decided to have a go at ALL Cardiff fans who are actually from Cardiff...

but on the whole its extremely rare, i've been going down the city for over 20 years and i've never witnessed it.

you've obviously had a bad experience recently and i apologise, but don't come on here having a go when you know full well 99.99% of cardiffians wouldn't do anything like this

I heard a city fan from cardiff tell a boy from pontyclun he should be supporting swansea at man city last season. It weren't in banter either, just being a prick.

I've never had any problem. Lived in Cardiff for 34 years, now I'm back in Carmarthenshire. My accent betrays me, but nobody from Cardiff has ever questioned my being a City fan. Go to games home and away. City fans come from all over South Wales. A bluebird is a bluebird! :bluescarf:

Family are from Cardiff but moved to England before I was born. I've got a English accent and been a ST for years, nobody has ever questioned me or made a comment!

If this has happened, as others have stated, it is only a very small minority. Are you saying that when a Cardiffian accent is heard in a a pub in for example Neath, llanelli or Baglan then heads dont turn and words aren't said? Try standing for an hour in Carloline Street at 2 on a Saturday/Sunday morning and listen to all the valley accents. Then post on hear how all the Cardiffians mob up and have a go at them shouting Jack Bastards! In one of the Diary of Soul Crew books dosent Gwyn write how boys from different valleys fight each other?

What is insulting is when you get hassle from being from Cardiff and you get some idiots who have a go at you when you are out with your missus in Neath just because you have a Cardiff accent! :bluescarf:

And just because one person said it doesn't mean that all Cardiffians say it like you were implying.
