Mick McCarthy

Random suggestion I know but I still think the Wolves team he managed to the title a few years back was the best side I've seen in the Championship and he's been working wonders at Ipswich given the playing staff and budget he inherited. If we can't get Pulis then I'd love to see us get Big Mick!

Good shout. He has international experience, done wonders at Wolves & now taking Ipswich forward.

He's a man of morals. Bangs on about Ipswich being the only team to comply with FFP. Would never come here but good shout, wouldn't be too bad of a manager to have here

do you honestly think that Wolves team were better than the Reading team under Coppell that amassed 106 points?

Me and the misses were staying in the Clarion hotel Dublin where he held his party. The room he held it in had a band on the Friday and we went in .........following night came back to the hotel heard some music in the same room and walked in, bouncers tried to get us to leave, told them I was a resident, it got a bit shirty and in true city style I threatened to chin one of the bouncers, Mick McCarthy came over to calm things down and we got talking, asked if it was only me and the wife, and told us to stay have some food, listen to the music.........and use the FREE BAR. Misses said lets have one drink and go.........I Said I don't think you heard him.........FREE BAR. Many jack daniels and 1664 later we opened the buffett and the dancing..........last 6 left at the bar end of night were Mick and his wife, Packy Bonner and his wife and a drunken welsh couple telling them they should both come to Cardiff city. :ayatollah:

In my opinion, yes. The Championship was generally stronger when Wolves went up than when Reading went up. Reading arguably played the more attractive football but Wolves were better for me.
