Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young will be taking the team this Saturday for the trip to Derby County. Danny returned to the Club as a player/coach this month, having enjoyed five highly successful years at Cardiff City between 2000 and 2005. Fellow fan favourite Scott is currently coaching in the Academy; the former Welsh International defender having spent his entire league playing career at Cardiff City before making the move to run our Community Foundation prior to his summer Academy appointment.

They're not playing together, merely picking and preparing the team!

I was thinking about Gabbidon yesterday. He was signed as a player coach, will he be involved with the new manager as an instruction from Tan or will the new manager make that decision? Was it Ole's choice to make him player coach?

Not impressed with that ,but I have heard that all ole's staff have gone and no one is taking training today, players sitting around ,cant be hard to do some drills .

I'd be a bit worried about the fitness of at least one of them, if I was wrong!

Even just to have a kick about, surely that's what they know best?

Now we'll see the defence organised properly albeit not having much time to prepare, happy with the two of them in charge for Derby, makes the trip more interesting. Perhaps players picked with more passion and less ability but at least i now expect us to have a good go.

Is it joint partnership or is Danny the manager and Scott no.2?

Nice to see Scott Young lead the side out.
He is a real city legend. And a top bloke. Had a burger in Burger King with him years ago when he was doing the community work. Top bloke.

Suppose it's completely different working with a bunch of unknowns.
He's been in and around our club for years, so he knows exactly who everyone is and their capabilities. Wouldn't surprise me to see us come away from Pride Park with a comfortable victory on Saturday

i remember a thread a while back complaining we didnt have our own 'garry monk' to take the team on. maybe this could work who knows?
