I always thought he was a Newport County fan who would occasionally come down and watch the city as a kid.
But it seems that over the last few days, in the eyes of some, he's become a die hard city fan...just like bellamy did all of a sudden when he joined us?

Would not be the first time agenda driven bullshit gets spouted as fact on this place.

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis admits he's a big fan of Cardiff City.
The 56-year-old Pulis returns to the Welsh capital with Crystal Palace and admits he will always have a soft spot for a club he supported growing up.
“If I did not have a game on a Saturday, I would jump on a train and, if I could, I would get to Cardiff,” said Pulis.
“That was when John Toshack played for them and they had a very good team. My Dad took me to watch them play Real when there were 50,000 people in the stadium. It is a fantastic club and a great city.”

1) a google search just shows what he's said, lets be fair managers and players are likley to fabricate their past from time to time (robbie keane apparently dreamt of playing for every team as a kid)
2) he's from newport and used to play friendlies against them every year (as well as maintaining a relationship with them in terms of loans etc) so it would be reasonable to think he's a county fan
3) im in work so didnt have time to check all the posts, im ever so sorry you had to read this for 6 seconds of your life, i'll try to make it up to you

I don't think some of the youngster realise this "fake" dislike of a local club is a recent thing.
I am 47. County were the little club down the road, mostly in the same division occassionally higher. I never wished them any harm or poor results. The Jacks were a little club the other way, didn't care about them either. Bristol City on the other hand......
A guy growing up in the late 60's early 70's would have considered supporting his local team nuport county and city as normal.
