Unfortunate reality of today's game

Thu Sep 18, 2014 4:10 am

We have practically a brand new team that haven't played more than a few games together. I realize its a results oriented game but that's the unfortunate side of today's game. If he is sacked whoever comes in will only have to watch this team gel together and rise up.

Still tons of games left in the season and to see how terribly people have turned on him after assembling this team is somewhat sad and a bit frightening.

To say he's clueless is in itself a bit of a clueless statement. What he is trying to do is play a different system - obviously a highly unpopular system and one that will go through the ringers as to why he might get sacked.

Soooo congrats - you'll probably get your wish and get a manager in, that will play roughly the same side for the rest of the season and I'm sure we'll do great. But we would do great regardless as the team cohesion just isn't there yet.

I don't wish to start a flame war, so I hope this can have some good discussion.

I agree with your post.

There are many factors in play here. As fans we are still in mourning over the effect of rebrand and much publicised
Ownership decisions and the madness of the Malky departure and subsequent revelations.

With the price hike on seats, drinks, food and not listening to fans on improving match day experience, it has turned us from supporters to punters.
This has damaged football for us for many years.

You will see hardly any kids with tops on around South Wales. Many are embarrassed to wear the badge or symbolise it with subservient acceptance.
Unfortunately, in the middle of this came ole.

The only thing he can do is play well and win games to settle the mess here. Unfortunately, neither has happened in 9 months.
Club is too fragile to continue with this - he had to go. Maybe the next one will have to go too. All this until Tan treats us as supporters again and build a bridge. If he doesn't. Only results will count. :ayatollah:
