Cardiff or Wales?

Wed Sep 17, 2014 9:33 pm

The forum has gone from Pulis for Wales to Cardiff in a matter of days.

He can only manage one of them, so in your opinion who should it be?

Please note wording of question. It's not what comes first to you, your club or country? Although I do appreciate this may sway your opinion

Cardiff, happy with Coleman for Wales

coleman is second rate, but cheap. that seems to please the bean counters at the FAW who are penny pinchers.

pulis would probably get 5 times the salary of the wales manager here at cardiff. with his style of play and with coaching being his forte he is probably suited to club management :ayatollah:

Can't Pulis do both jobs ? Wasn't long ago the Welsh managers job was part times anyway

He could but it's probably unlikely. If I recall correctly though Mark Hughes was still paying whilst managing Wales so you never know.

Now you mention it, is it not quite strange that the two managers that have come closest to qualification with Wales in the last 25 years were both part time?!

That's right. John Toshacks first stint was part time,, as he was also manager of Real Madrid.

Terry Yorath was also part time, not sure if it was for his full term, but I was told that at the time he was only on about 20k a year? :o
