' Dundee manager Paul Hartley '

I can tell you that through out the day a lot of money has been bet on him to be the next manager of Cardiff City he's 2/1 to 17/10 Fav with most bookmakers.

The best you can get on Pulis is 21/10.

I think the problem is our Chairman Dalman he has been taking advise from Glenn Roeder the past few weeks he could have recommended him. Dalman is meeting Dave Jones tonight with Roeder now there would be only 2 reasons to meet him either to discuss the director of football or to speak to him to see if he would be interested in becoming Cardiff City manager with Craig Bellamy as his assistant and groom him for the managers job next season.

Tony Pulis is very interested in taking the job and I know he has turned down some jobs already including Leeds being one of them, He has his heart set on managing either Cardiff or Wales as wants to come home due to speak and was a Cardiff fan when he was growing up watching City down the ninian on the bob bank.

He was getting around a £1m at Palace - Tan can afford to pay him £1.5m a year which is a lot cheaper than paying Ollie £4m a year and even throw in a £1m bonus if he gets Cardiff promoted.

We need a manager with the know how what it takes to get a team out of the championship promoted.

Tan has a lot to lose if Cardiff City don't get back in the premier league the first time of asking. He is looking to sell the club and is asking for around £80m being in the championship won't get any prospected buyers.

There are two things that Tan needs to do one come to some sort of compromise on back to blue and convert his investment to equity. At present he is getting an interest of 7'% on all the money he is investing into the club. If he was serious about being the owner of Cardiff City he would have done this but now. He alway thought it wouldn't be this hard to be an owner of a football club with all the problems at the club at present.

How knows when all of this merry go round is going to end all I know is vincent tan has lose interest in the club and he wants out but to get out Cardiff city need to be at the top and drastic measures need to be taken.

If tan wants to hedge his beds, it has to be Pulis.

We'll if Tan wants any chance of a fiscal return on his investment then he should seriously consider hiring Tony Pulis,,,as he has a proven track record. Last seasons Premiership manager of the year. Enough said!!!

@SkySportsAmy: I'm being told Dundee's Paul Hartley is a real contender for the Cardiff job and they want to appoint a new manager by the weekend

That's on twitter.

Richard, Sky have just said Paul Hartley is favourite?

gut reaction is he's not a 'name' which rules him out.

i think after employing an inexperienced manager, the board will gravitate towards someone with proven experience of getting teams out of this league :ayatollah:

Annis, shocked that Pulis wants to work under Tan but if he does, we have to give him the job.

Has Pulis come out and said he want the job?

What has Hartly done in his managerial career?

Managing in the Scottish pub league is as bad as managing in Norway and at least Ole won trophies in Norway.

Can Tan afford to gamble again on a completely unproven manager at this level?

And why would he when Pulis is available and it would seem would want the job?

Hartley has done well in his short time in charge in Scotland, with little money to spend at Alloa, and done well at Dundee.

Not saying he would not do a good job here - BUT I agree with you there are better/more choices out there.
Mangers who have managed in this league and higher ( IMO ).

If pullis is is showing interested it would be madness not to employ him.

Pulis plays negative boring football there are other managers out there. I don't know about this guy though. Sounds very inexperienced.
