Right I can only pass on what ive heard in the crazy world of Cardiff City.
At the moment they are finalising the departure of OGS and Tan is trying to lure TP with lots of money. But Pullis not happy with Director of Football. So if its Jones or Pullis i have no idea. I said earlier they were talking to Jones and i still believe that to be true. But many things can change. Can only give you what i have been told folks. If I hear more I will share but im as confused as the rest of you.

Nukes Pulis is an old school manager and one of the reasons he left Stoke was that the Owner imposed a DOF on him, I believe that's what went wrong at Palace as well. TP wants control of ALL football matters and not having to play politics with DOF.

I'll be well unhappy if it gets in the way of him coming to Cardiff.

TP Should state there is no need for a DoF as window is closed, give him Jan. then look again in the summer. In TP can prove he doesn't need one by then, the point will be moot.

I've yet to see a DoF work in the British game - it's just not our style. The example of Kinnear above is a great one - he made one loan signing, sold quality players, then fucked off. We don't need one, and I fear this is just another part of the fallout from Moody f*cking with transfer fees - Tan clearly wants someone monitoring that side of the club more thoroughly than is being done at present.
