Has Pulis ever said he was a Cardiff City fan?

If so does anyone have any links to this?
I've read a lot of reports saying he's a "Newport born, self confessed Cardiff fan...." but I've nver heard him say it or seen a quote from him saying it?
If he is and he got the job then great but is this actually the case?
I always wanted him to manage Wales but if he came down here then I wouldn't complain. At least he would play people in the right positions to start with!

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis admits he's a big fan of Cardiff City.
The 56-year-old Pulis returns to the Welsh capital with Crystal Palace and admits he will always have a soft spot for a club he supported growing up.
“If I did not have a game on a Saturday, I would jump on a train and, if I could, I would get to Cardiff,” said Pulis.
“That was when John Toshack played for them and they had a very good team. My Dad took me to watch them play Real when there were 50,000 people in the stadium. It is a fantastic club and a great city.”
