Connolly not a left back

Wed Sep 17, 2014 7:40 am

Square pegs, round holes rings to mind!!! You can't fault Connolly when playing central defense but as a full back just ain't good enough!!!! He ain't quick or agile enough to mark the various wingers we come up against and when getting forward he has to cut in on right all the time so not one good cross was put in.
With fabio out and not sure what's up with John (just looks shot of confidence and 15 again), what options do we have?
I watched DVP squad beat Swansea On Monday evening and really like the look of young Kane Owen, he is quick, agile and put in some beautiful crosses too. I think he done really well up against Emnes and Sheehan aswell.
Also brayford don't look half the player he has been either, so do we try bobb there and perhaps gives us some much needed freshness and energy?
Opinions please?

Such a strange decision. I said at the start of the season we needed a left back. Surely Gabbidon would have done a better job.
