Well the people in front of him..........and next to him need to pull their fingers out and give him some support, because it was not all down to him on Saturday.

I have no problem with Declan John, despite the torrid 2nd half he had on Saturday, because in fairness to the lad he had Mecheda in front of him who was blowing out of his backside by that point and offering DJ precious little support.

OGS needs to find a formation and player who will offer DJ the support he deserves, like Pilkington was doing on Saturday for Brayford when he was on the field. After Pilkington went off and Gunnarsson replaced him wide right Brayford was left exposed as well.

We are at home tonight and in my opinion it's about time we started giving our opponents something to think about and get another player up front with Jones, Macheda or Le Fondre get them where they can hurt our opponents.

never know why he was moved to play as a left back he looks anything but a left back

I would give him a second chance, but is it possible that Connolly will be used on the left? Not sure if he´s ever played there before.

Macheda played in front of Fabio forst half but he had no problem dealing with Norwich even when he was injured for the last 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately DJ is no where near good enough for the first team.

Im not his biggest fan, infact id have liked for him to be loaned out and someone brought in but that hasnt happened and dont think we have a lot of other options.

Well there you are...........Ole chose to loan Kev out who could play either side..........and just like we did with Adam Mathews we are getting on a young welsh players case........The boy needs some support.from his fellow players and us as so called supporters.

Declan is 19 years old and has less than 20 appearances behind him and right now he needs to be playing football. Fabio is nearly 5 years older and although he has only 60 odd appearances to his name he has experience at PL & CL level.

Declan should be loaned out somewhere that we give him the experience he needs otherwise we run the risk of having another Joe Mason on our hands.

Another promising player who needs games to help him reach his potential, which in my opinion, is far higher than some in this thread are prepared to consider.

Whoever starts will get supported... Regardless of if that is Fabio, John or even Tutonda!

Declan had a very very poor performance against Norwich when he replaced Fabio and was arguably the worst player on the pitch. However, I'm not one to hold grudges and I hope for the benefit of his confidence, he puts in a cracking performance
This is another game now and hopefully the same thing won't happen again. The attendance is going to be lower tonight meaning it's a mid week game so the atmosphere at the start of the game probably won't be as impressive as it was at the start of the Norwich game.

To the o/p question though, will I be happy seeing John start if Fabio isn't fit? yes. Why not. He's there, he's there, he's every f*cking where. Declan John. Declan John!

That's only because Fabio is injured as Fabio is 25 times + better than John.

I'd go as far as to say Fabio is one of our best players.

Fabio, so far this season has to me, been our best player

I wish we never let Taylor leave now as he was decent championship left back IMO. We have always struggled in this position. Superkev again can do ok on that side of defence if called upon but he's gone too. Declans not normally as bad as the Norwich game so just hoping for the best

If declan plays im praying we play 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 and use him as a wing back
