POLL: WHAT TO DO ABOUT OLE

Mon Sep 15, 2014 11:26 pm

Just out of curiosity, what do you think should be done about OGS?

I will leave the poll open for a while in case you change your mind after the next match.

My feeling is that the loss against Norwich was a tough one to start with but you may see it another way. Thanks!

If we're not in the top 6 by Christmas then it's time for him to go.

I can see the logic there. We can't wait forever in my opinion.

So is that a vote for 'leave him there till Christmas"?

This^^^^ The next 2 games are not going to be easy, we could lose both, but there again we could lose both if we had a new manager. Saturday was an embarrassment that should not happen again. It's a shame Gabbidon was'nt on the bench as we could have done with a wise old head to steady the ship.

I voted for sack him if we lose tonight against Boro and for what I consider a good reason.

VT told OGS after last seasons relegation that he would continue to support him, and he has with £12m spent on players, but we MUST win promotion.

Lose tonight against borough and history will tell you that only 2 teams in the last 10 years who had won 8 points or less after 7 games have gone on to win automatic promotion. That represents only 10% of the teams automatically promoted. Anyone really think VT was talking about a 10% chance of promotion when he told OGS he MUST win promotion, I believe he was thinking promotion was an absolute given.

People think the start has been OK, in terms of automatic promotion it hasn't, and OGS needs to put a run of 2 or 3 wins together to get things back on track.

That's way to long to keep him if we go on like this.
Hypothetically, if we give him that long & we are in the bottom 5 by Christmas as you say then it's the end of the season for us promotion wise & too late to do anything.
I'm desperate for him to do well & really hope we don't become one of those clubs that change managers constantly.

Having watched some of the Leeds v Brum game on Sky Sat we will definitely not be bottom 5 or in a relegation scrap. There are a handful of 5 or 6 teams that will be well off the pace and in the relegation fight this season. We are not one of them (Blackpool, Leeds, Brum, Rotherham, Huddersfield, Bolton)

How about the option of just leaving ole alone and let him do his job?
