Ole - It's All About Our Response

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer watched us capitulate a two goal lead against Norwich and go on to lose the game last weekend and then insisted it was all about how we responded on Tuesday night now for him.

A frustrating four two loss led the gaffer to say when speaking to the Official Site after the match.

'You can look at the first half and say that it was the best so far this season, but then you look at the second half and it was the worst so far. The Championship is all about consistency so we are really disappointed with that second half display.'

The very frustrating part for Ole is having praised the first half showing, he actually thinks we started the second half well as well and points to the early save we brought from their goalkeeper and at that moment it could've been game over in our favour, but a few minutes later they've scored two goals, our heads have gone and we 'didn't have the answer to come back.'

Once they'd got their tails up we were losing the first balls, we weren't getting the second balls and we were sluggish in effect and they were all over us.

'There are simple things in football that you've got to do that we simply didn't do.'

One thing the gaffer was adamant on though was that the team would bounce back and recover, but it's another harsh lesson that you can't switch off at this level and when games are going for you you have to do all you can to make it game over, and then when they aren't you have to do all you can to protect the point.

With Middlesbrough next up Tonight, Ole says in some ways it's good because the players can't overly think about our last loss, we just have to go out there and put it right.

New signing Bruno Ecuele Manga may be in contention for this one, but it does come too soon for Craig Noone.
