Older bods- pompey

This was posted on another board, regarding Cardiff in the 70s/80s, anyone comment as its before my time:


Early seventies, and i wasnt present Pompey got into the grange and took it, told that by olders i trust that were there.EARLY 80s we took it to them at least twice at theirs, one time had them on the back foot all day.Jons mentioned the one visit at ours when it got feisty. Always rated them, but probably at their best after mid eighties.

I was there.

The cops stop the Cardiff getting into the Grangend. When they tried to break the police lines the Pompey made a run for it.

For some unknown reason the police were determined to prevent any Cardiff getting into the Grangend. The next game they thought better of it the police and were no where to be seen.

Time takes its toll, but I remember Pompey in the Grange End. Around 1974.

I remember Villa and Leicester taking the Grange in the 70s
