Christ he only had one good season for us, and that was in the championship.

The bloke is deluded. Hes not even a cardiff legend. Bellamy isnt fit to clean jason perrys boots. A proper cardiff legend

Now why doesn't this surprise me? Only met the guy fleetingly once; I'm in no hurry to ever meet him again!

A great player but a massive knob.

Why would anyone else ever want to wear the number 39 anyway?

Doesn't mean it can't be discussed. Plenty of stuff on here is discussed off idle gossip. Transfer window was a field day for idle gossip

Where did I state that it can't be discussed? :? All I stated was that it was merely idle gossip, when the OP was written like it was a fact.

I was asking a question out of curiousity so what's the problem with that? I wasn't the victim. I didn't even know the victim, just read it on social media. Goodbye m8

my lasting memory of bellamy was him berating the fans when he scored in that game that whitts was cheered when he was replaced, norwich perhaps. as everyone around me was celebrating, he was swearing at fans in the section i was in, what a berk, i thought.

i hope the rumour is not true. players should never ask for the privilege, it should be granted by the club. i wouldn't retire the number, he never really set the world alight here, for whatever reason.

it was for geographical reasons he decided to drop down a division, not for the love of cardiff city.

Yes I was at the game and was really impressed as he swore at a load of youngsters who were actually cheering foŕ him, the numbskull! -He really set a good example that time.

he gave everything when he was here, but he seeks arguments and confrontation all the time. i got tired of it, and i wanted him out after he swore at fans in my direction!

i'm glad i'm not the only one who saw that. he is angry at the world for some reason, i hope he finds peace, it won't be doing his blood pressure any good thats for sure

I think instead every player should wear 39 from now on.

 What a load of old wank. Based on a tweet from a 16 year old boy who overhears it from girls in shop? The OP would do well to steer clear of careers in investigative journalism or law. Or indeed anything else really involves actual facts. If Captain Mainwaring was a forum member, his comment would no doubt be......... 'Stupid Boy'.

Is he still contracted to CCFC?

Sorry haven't been looking at line ups so have no idea if he's been playing or not.

No, he left at the end of last season, which is what makes it so mental :P

Why doesn't he ask his beloved Liverpool to retire his number...they are the club he kept dedicating his love for whilst he was playing for us. Absolute spanner!
If were we to retire a shirt to honour one of our players contribution and dedication to the club, I can think of a few ahead of Bellamy.
