' Vincent Tan is looking for a buyer '

Sun Sep 14, 2014 12:09 pm

The club has a little under 10,000 home shirts from last season that Vincent Tan is hoping he can shift in Malaysia. The end of season reduction in prices didn't sell anywhere near the number the club hoped so Vincent Tan has his marketing staff negotiating with Malaysian business to try and sell in bulk last seasons kit.

As a result of promotion to the Premier League it was forecast that the club would sell many more replica shirts than we actually did.

Yesterday saw the launch of the new 2014-15 kit, fans would have noticed that they could purchase both home and away kits at the club superstore, St David's store and retail booths around the stadium, the club only had notice on Thursday that the away kit would be delivered in time for yesterday's launch.

The club took a small delivery of equal numbers of both home and away kits but at present only adult sizes, ranging from small to xxl are available, this is not a problem created by the club but that of the local firm supplying the kit, they have been unable to fulfil the delivery deadline dates.

Children's replica kits will be available to purchase before the Sheffield Wednesday home match on Saturday September 27th.

The club are not ordering the quantities of last season and have ordered the same amount of away kits as the home.

Fans can purchase the new replica shirts for £38 each and a special offer is available to buy a home and away shirt for just £60.

Prior to kick off yesterday there was a power issue in the server room and this was the problem with the clock not working, the issue was not just isolated to the clock but on level 3 and 4 the television screens and wifi were also affected.

I posted on here towards the end of last week that Vincent Tan was expected to be at the game and preparations had been made for his attendance but on Thursday Vincent informed the chairman he would not be coming but his guests would still be at the game. The dignitaries enjoyed their day at Cardiff and were pleased at the reception they received but were unhappy that Vincent was not there.

It would appear from your first couple of paragraphs that one of the main reasons and justifications for the rebrand has been a huge failure.

Looking for a buyer?
This was presumably meant to get people to think a buyer for the club & not a pile of shit looking replica shirts with a shit beer mat stuck on the front?

Headline got me

So the conspiracy theory about the clock being a sabotage is a load of nonsense, people can think of many things to blame the club but some of it is farcical.

shirt sales were a sham :laughing6:

next to no one wants a red shirt thats why there were bundles and bundles of them on hangers yet the blue was with held, i even went in one time and asked where the blue shirts are and staff told me they were coming in but i could see some folded up under the counter

even at a tenner or a fiver what ever they were no one is going to buy red shit

not only are the shirt sales a sham the whole club shops a f*cking joke, with shit on offer

some of the merchandize is not that bad, some shorts t-shirts and hoodies for example, just in the wrong colour its as simple as that, give the fans what they want and you will see sales rise, yes even with the crap badge

as for tan, ole, the players.... i think tues night is going to be the turning point, its make or break blue tuesday :laughing6:
a win will be some breathing space for ole... another shit performance and a loss, blimey you will hear the boos from ely bridge :laughing6:

I need a new key ring, and one of those air freshners for the car, so I'll venture into the shop on Tuesday. Bracing myself for disappointment, though.

Vinny,

You won't be able to give that crap away.

Might as well burn it all or donate it to charity.

Over the course of the past few days, staff at the club have been preparing Vincent Tan's private room (which is a room off the chairman's lounge) ready for his attendance at tomorrow's game. The room is decorated with Chinese pictures, fresh flowers, fridge stocked but this morning we were informed that Mr Tan will not be attending the match.

I question 'staffs' itk to be honest, yesturday like many others was confused when the blue shirt was on sale along with the red especially when it was announced on the website that only home shirts available.in the sales booth under the stand the member of staff said thay knew only sizes up to LARGE would be available on Saturday so they didn't want to advertise a full sale until all sizes where available until later this week. the bonus was they delivered upto XL instead of Large and at no time was XXL and above going to be available before saturday but 'staff ' seams to think they were available. (WOULD LIKE TO KNOW Where the XXL where on sale) the same staff member also told me they are hoping to have a full compliment of sizes in blue by Wednesday and yes they have ordered more blue shirts than red.
