Overrun in Midfield

I was quite surprised to find Ralls & Gunnar in the team against Norwich, particularly Rolls.

Fair enough they both scored and took their goals well but come the second half we were completely overrun by Norwich in the middle of the park.

I cannot work out why Ole took Jones off and left Macheda on. Surely Jones was playing well and Macheda was fading. Take Macheda off and bring on another midfielder to shore up the middle still having Jones as a target man. He was winning things in the air and holding the ball up.

We were still 2-0 up at that point and then Norwich started to put pressure on us. Everyone could probably see that they would score sooner rather than later and again when they got the first it was only time before they got the second.

No changes made until it was too late and then the wrong changes. Puzzling!

Whenever a team match us over add an extra midfielder we fall to pieces.

We have pretty neat player with an eye for goal, playing 5 in there with 1 striker is probably best way to go, but with so many big money strikers on the books he doesn't know what to do.

Spot on. We are spoilt for choice and I don't think Ole knows what his best 11 is. The squad is too big.
