Is our squad really that good?

Just because we have thrown money does it mean we have bought quality?

Morrison might have been 3 million but is he worth it? Hopefully the new defender will be amazing and there were a lot of teams after him apparently. However he wasn't that expensive for a premiership team and none went for him. Burgastaller has flattered to deceive. Adeyemi was on the bench.

As mentioned it seems we have no real leaders.

Tan has backed Ole but has Ole really bought quality? I hope so but it doesn't look good. Maybe the rotation is the problem?

Best squad? Nah not for me, we sold our best 2 midfield players and replaced them with lesser quality. We sold 2 centre halves and captains and so far their replacements haven't been up to the job and we now have no leaders on the pitch.

Right now we have a weaker starting eleven than the last 2 seasons and a non existent midfield. Apart from that our squad is amazing

I think we like to think the players we sign are going to be amazing but in reality not so. The squad is good but first XI I think isn't great.

Best in the league, who come out with this claptrap...... I barely know our squad nevermind the other 23.

Malky developed an early season style with Whitts in a free some say quarter back role, with no fancy dans. Hudson and bellers were leaders on the field. By the time we were sussed we were well clear.

We have too many strikers on big bucks and Ole can't keep them all happy.

New signings like Morrisson, Pilkington and Adeyemi have hardly set the world alight yet and compare unfavourably to players who have left. None of the players Ole bought in the summer commanded big fees so thereby hangs a tale and in any case the bulk of the squad were part of the worst team in the Premiership last season. It shows how inflated the opinion of our squad is when the likes of Peter Whittingham is often considered as one of the first names on the team sheet. We may well have a poor manager but I believe there are a few squads in the Championship better than ours

I agree. Another thing that concerns me is the vibes that all will be well as soon as a couple of our long term injury players return to the squad. Clutching at straws maybe???

Squad id good. Probably the deepest.

Not necessarily the best staring XI though. Even if our best XI was put out.

For example I'd rather have had Norwich's starting side yesterday. Their midfield bollocked us last year with Medel and Mutch in the side. No surprise they smashed us yesterday too.

Ther's a few other very good sides too... Wigan, Derby, Forest, Wolves..

just got to hope that over a long season strength in depth will help us.

However it is in the top 5 possibly top 3.

Does our manager know how to capitalise on our strength is my huge concern!
