TODAY'S PERFORMANCE

Most fans want Ole to be successful and take us back to the Premiership. After last season's disastrous 6 pointer games i was wondering whether he would be capable of doing this or would he be totally out of his depth. I, like a lot of people gave him the benefit of the doubt as it wasn't his squad. Sadly the result today was exactly the type of result that i feared was going to happen this season. It was entertaining alright but for the wrong reasons and of course although we can score goals we are unable to defend. We are a soft touch and to be promoted automatically you need at least 16 to 17 clean sheets. Marshall shouldn't be captain, the captain should be an outfield player who can organise and dictate the pattern of the game, someone that others can look up to when things are going wrong. We do not appear to have such a player, too often i notice that the players do not want to take responsibily and would rather get rid of the ball as quickly as possible. I've said before that we need a midfield general to organise the players as we are not a team. With the squad we have then we should walk this league and don't forget both Palace and Hull had inferior squads to us last season but both had managers with the experience to organise their teams sufficiently to make them difficult to beat sadly i'm really worried about this with us. I am now concerned whether Ole is the right man to do the job. Successful with Molde (but in the Norwegian league) and the Man Utd academy (which probably ran itself). Am i being too pessimistic,i don't know, the next 2 games this week will make things clearer.
