Vincent Tan

Fri Sep 12, 2014 6:32 pm

Over the course of the past few days, staff at the club have been preparing Vincent Tan's private room (which is a room off the chairman's lounge) ready for his attendance at tomorrow's game. The room is decorated with Chinese pictures, fresh flowers, fridge stocked but this morning we were informed that Mr Tan will not be attending the match.

Recently there has been speculation that a decision on returning to blue is about to be announced and talk around the club has been hopeful but it appears that people who believe this to be the case have been misinformed, I asked someone who I would expect to know about such decisions if there is any truth in this particular rumour and I was told that the best anyone could hope for would be compromise and not a return to a blue home kit.

Red with a blue stripe would be the furthest Vincent Tan would go should the team return to the Premier League.

Well for the last few months the rumours around the club that I was hearing was that Tan had been thinking about it, but the problem was, Tan believes he would loose face in China & Malaysia if he changed back to BLUE and that is the only thing that is stopping him.

Personally I believe all he has to announce is that he was badly advised regarding the Rebrand, which is true he was. :bluescarf:

What a surprise ha ha. When will you learn, while Tan is the owner we'll be Malaysia FC

Re: Vincent Tan

As much as I have hoped the rumours were true, like Jaws says Tan said he would 'consider compromise' if we got promoted.

I have never believed wholeheartedly that we will return to our traditional home kit of blue whilst Tan is owner.

i always felt the "back to blue if promoted thingy" would turn out to be a "well, i told you red was lucky, lets not change now" fingers crossed someone with some penny comes in and buys the clown out

Tan is a business man at the end of the day & the rebrand is costing city millions now,not the millions he was hoping to recoup from the rebrand.

Don't believe the hype.

I cannot understand how anyone took the compromise talk and turned it into a fait accompli that we were returning to blue.

Then everyone talks about it, dreams about it and gets ready for it. Now Tan is an evil fucker again for a shit compromise.

The reality is, Tan said we would talk compromise with fans groups AFTER a return to the Premier League. We ain't there yet so there has been no talk let alone a going back on his word.

It's amazing how some will take forum talk as the stuff set in stone.

Unless Tan himself says a return to blue is happening or a high figure in the club then they shouldn't believe everything they hear

At moment I can't face going to home games thanks to Tan and rebrand. Not sure if I'll go to ccs again unless we return to blue. The only reason I'll go is if my boys want to go over for one of their birthdays.

learn by mistakes

be a man and admit was wrong for our club not for his country Morales and he will become hero over night

we all make mistakes - but end of the day Cardiff fans are strong and will never accept the rebrand
