RIP to everyone who sadly lost their lives but especially to the 343 of the NYFD.

Probably the most shocking and surreal event I will ever see in my lifetime. The way it was all played out on live TV, watching that second plane hit the tower in real time, everything about that day, there's no words to do it justice. And even now, its still as shocking and jaw dropping as it was that day. 3 news events stand out for me so far in my life time (boxing day tsunami, Japanese tsunami, and 9.11) with 9.11 being top of the list. Its Hard to believe a single act of terror could change the world so much

Despite the questions surrounding who committed the atrocities, and why, a very sad day for the thousands who were killed in the towers, the people who were killed from radiation poisoning during the clean up, and the people who have died overseas in the subsequent "war on terror"

RIP to all of you, blameless and taken well before your time.

Yes, that day was frightening. I think we can all admit that for a reasonable amount of time we thought we were watching World War III unfold before us. I remember all sorts of rumours doing the rounds such as it was the Chinese government or it was a separatist movement in the US. It was horrific. Will never forget seeing the images of those people jumping out of the WTC buildings because they simply didn't want to burn alive. So sad.

The July bombings in London were also devastating because there was such an uncertainty about those as well not knowing where the next attack was going to be or how long they would continue for.
