A forum for all things Cardiff City

I've just spotted a few reports that the clubs who have been adjudged to have broken the financial fair play rules will be fined and in some cases, not b allowed to play in the league system (QPR are under particular threat).
That is all very worrying for the clubs concerned and in the cut-throat world of top class football, it is dog-eat-dog in many respects.
BUT
Apparently, clubs who have not fallen foul of these rules stand to gain money directly from this (to the tune of 200k+).
So some clubs will have a windfall off nearly 1/4 million just for being "boring" and not taking risks in the true spirit of sport.
Where are we going?
P.S. I don't suppose we will get a penny. Typical!

QPR wont get relegated they will fight the fine , if they are unsuccessful fighting the fine they will just pay the fine rather than plummet

the fines go to charity.
FFP is designed to ensure clubs don't go bust. thats a good thing, as you say the drawback is that small clubs cannot progress as they are limited by what they can spend.
it will be very difficult for a club to do a wigan, now.

I tend to agree about QPR, but some clubs (Man C etc) will just pay their fine. The resulting pot will be divided amongst clubs seen to be playing by the rules. I didn't know about that till this week.
