Was it really that bad? The pitch invasion to be acted on by Uefa
Uefa acts on Wales pitch invasion in Andorra
Wed 10th Sept 2014
Uefa has started disciplinary proceedings against the Football Association of Wales (FAW) for the pitch invasion following Gareth Bale's late winner against Andorra.
The Andorran Football Federation also faces action for incurring five or more cards and insufficient organisation inside the Estadi Nacional.
A decision will be made on both cases on 16 October.
The FAW said it is not commenting on the investigation.
Uefa has opened the investigation into Andorra for breaches of articles 15.4 (improper conduct of the team) and 16.1 (organisation) of its disciplinary regulations while Wales face sanctions for a breach of article 16.2 (field invasion by supporters).
Under article six of Uefa's disciplinary regulations, there are a wide-range of punishments available include a warning, a fine and a points deduction.
Crowd problems broke out after the 81st-minute strike from the Real Madrid forward completed a Welsh turnaround.
The visitors went behind when Ildefons Lima scored a penalty - Andorra's first goal in a competitive fixture since 2010.
A first-half header from Bale brought Chris Coleman's side level before he completed his brace after substitute George Williams was fouled 25 yards from goal.

Not an aggressive pitch invasion, so can't see them deducting points.
Enough on the pitch to give us a fine though.
Didn't think it was too bad, but can see why they're taking action.
Hopefully I'm wrong, and it's just a warning.

I would expect a warning or a fine , I don't think we will be hit with points deduction but then again they always hit the smaller countries hard

It wasn't that bad, but those fans are still stupid for thinking it would go unnoticed by Uefa.

From my view...

wonder if the ref and assistant willl be investigated over scandilous decsions >?
Also that pitch is a travesty - UEFA need internal investigation why an international meatch was played on a glorified 3g pitch with 20 tons of stones !

The standard penalty for a pitch invasion (including England in 2012) with no other serious disturbance is a £4,000 fine.
This one should be worth about £40 + VAT!

Foreign fans can do what ever they like and UEFA do fook all. A Brit Nation even farts at a game they come down on us like a ton of bricks. Look at Turkey Fans FFS nothing ever gets said about. Or Argentine fans.

Unfortunately there is VAT in Switzerland - headquarters of UEFA in Nyon.
However, the good news is it is only 8% - so the FAW bucket collection shouldn't take long.

Everybody knows that you are not allowed on the pitch under any circumstances, so you can't be surprised if you get a fine or some other form of sanction.
If it was up to me I'd find out every one who encroached on the pitch and give them a football banning order. You can bet the authorities will be looking in to the CCTV about this. And they would deserve it too, not for being hooligans but just for being bloody stupid!

The pitch invasion was (apart from 2 exquisite goals), the best entertainment of the evening!
It is wrong to invade the pitch, but it was funny, especially when Gareth Bale tried in vain to calm everyone down. Reminded me of a scene from Kindergarten Cop.

Not a real pitch so it can't be classed as a pitch invasion.
No doubt we'll be fined, maybe allocations reduced

first of all I would like to congratulate the win. I really hope Wales can make it to Euro this time.
But if I'm honest, I would compare this pith invasion to one we would make on Saturday beating Norwich 2:1...
Pointless on that stage of the competition!
On the other hand I can also understand a need of the national team to succeed. whoever done it however may bring unwanted action against Wales...

How many actually entered the field of play? From those pictures it was one and nobody entered while the ball was in play. Surely a warning will suffice?

10 excited fans in a pile up on top of a corner flag cannot be described as a pitch invasion.
The hoardings got a good pasting, and it was very funny.
The fans should get fined for impersonating a pitch invasion and The pitch should get fined for impersonating a pitch.

Do you think that all city fans who ran onto the pitch to celebrate us getting to the premiership get banning orders
