Massive positive from tonight

Tue Sep 09, 2014 8:46 pm

Wales have 3 points on the board and Bosnia have 0.

Our main competitors for 2nd place lost AT HOME on a grass pitch which they're used to playing on, to Cyprus, a team which I think we'll take 6 points from. Massive loss for them, if we win against them now it'll be very tough for them to get 2nd place IMO.

Stay positive and get behind Coleman, conditions weren't ideal tonight with the pitch, the dirty play and time wasting from Andorra, and shocking refereeing. A win is a win

That's true.

No doubt that the top three will be us, Belgium and Bosnia. Already got a head start on Bosnia.

Israel will obviously be competitive, but the crisis out there right now may have an effect on them, the whole country will be feeling it. Plus most of their better players are getting on now so I don't think we'll have to worry about them. As long as Coleman doesn't decide to play 3-5-2 again, awful decision playing 5 defenders

Performance wasn't great and to be fair on that pitch it never was going to be, incredible how a Euro Qualifier was allowed to be played on a pitch like that. Impossible to pass the ball with any pace, slowed the whole game down and it was extremely hard to gain any momentum, also very difficult for the likes of Rambo to run with the ball and create opportunities.

BUT a massive 3 points and it's great to get a head start on Bosnia. Two home games now, hopefully we can get two big crowds to cheer the boys on !!

Pitch was the same for both teams but we've got players with real ability, Andorra were never going to get the ball down and move us about, the pitch helped their cause slowing us down, cynical tackles and play acting. Should be a completely different story when we play that home.

We would definitely be fucked without Bale mind

Don't dismiss Cyprus. They are much improved these days and have probably made more progress than any other "small" nation in recent years.

In all honesty, Coleman was very lucky.......that Bosnia lost at home to Cyprus. We were shite and whether that was down to that joke of a pitch, time will tell.
The main thing is, 3 vital points and hopefully all our fans had a good time.
Playing 5 defenders against a thuggish non league side was debatable to say the least. :o

Contradicting yourself there, aren't you? You say 5 defenders, but the '3' in '3-5-2' implies three defenders. Taylor and Gunter played more like wing-backs than full-backs.

How does he not have a clue? People say this time and time again, but never provide reasons. I'd love to hear them.

This thing about Bale and how we'd be a worse side in his absence is true, yes, but he plays in nearly every game, and is very willing to do so.

I really believe it was the pitch. We'd have docked those guys at home. And we will.

By the way, it wasn't five defenders, it was three.

Nice to see a big ccfc gabalfa flag in the crowd

Think this is the only positive.

In all fairness thats the first international together for a while, so to smash and grab 3 points aginst part timers - who cares. Points are the important thing.

Performance was shyte so hopefully we will look to changing the urgency and pace of future games! Rambo had a touch of Whitts about him last night, rather sit back on the defensive line that give attacking option upfront but as we say 3 points away from home.

What I mean is 5 defenders were on the pitch, Gunter and Taylor played as wing backs but aren't used to playing in those positions. Declan John would have been a more ideal choice for wing back, that's him all over, likes to go forward and has the energy to get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes.

Should have played 4 at the back but we got the points so what does it matter
