Aston Villa have met with the young players parents and have offered a two year contract for the athletic and aggressive midfielder but the parents who are settled in Cardiff have offered City six weeks to show their commitment and to see if Edu would like to join with Cardiff.

The 6 weeks City have offered the lad is a standard thing the academy do when they want to take a look at a player of his age, if Aston Villa have already offered him a 2 year contract and Cardiff dilly and dally, then the chances are, that Villa will secure his services I'm afraid.
