Daehli looks set to be fit for the Bluebirds as they host Norwich this weekend while Noone is also on the road to recovery
Cardiff City have been handed a big boost with the news Mats Daehli is back in training with Norway and looking to play against Italy on Tuesday evening.
The gifted midfielder had to be stretchered off at Wembley last week with a knee injury following a challenge by Raheem Sterling as the Norwegians faced England in an international friendly.
Bluebirds fans were left concerned with the teenager having played a big part already in Cardiff’s start to the campaign and Norwich next up in the Championship in the Welsh capital on Saturday.
Initial scans showed there was no serious injury and Daehli has displayed he is ready for action by training with his international teammates on Sunday.
He was reported in Norway as saying: “I hope I am able to play (against Italy). It feels better than Saturday.”
The Italians arrive in Oslo for both sides opening Euro 2016 qualifier although, despite his progress, Daehli might still not be risked in the game.
Meanwhile Craig Noone looks set to give the Bluebirds another lift as he is due to play an hour for the development side against Birmingham City on Tuesday.
